Women suffer disproportionately from child abuse. In recent years, domestic violence has increased and, in particular, increased domestic violence against women. According to the RA Police, in 2015-2017, 2333 cases of domestic violence were registered, of which 1422 (61%) were cases of violence against a woman by the husband. Domestic violence in Armenia is one of the most common crimes. It is a fact that the principle of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women is considered as a guarantee of achieving social justice, effective use of human potential and sustainable development of the country. Therefore, it is necessary to work with a particularly vulnerable party in our case, to encourage them to become more courageous and to exercise their rights.
